We are a larger class, made up of married couples and singles alike, mostly in our 50s, 60s and 70s. This fall we will be studying a book called Six Degrees of Separation about world religions. It will be led by Rev. Daniel Schweissing.

Location: Room 111 (off of the Fellowship Hall)

Leaders: Rev. Morgan C. Fletcher and Rev. Anne J. Scalfaro (mfletcher@calvarydenver.org and ascalfaro@calvarydenver.org)

Whether you’ve attended in previous years or are considering coming for the first time, Morning Blend’s weekly discussions surround theology, work, faith, and community, and is designed to be welcoming for guests or those who are unable to come every week. This is a class where group discussion is the main facilitator and Morgan and Anne support the group as needed. We welcome folks whether they are in their faith journey or journey with the Calvary community in a come-as-you-are environment. Anne and Morgan look forward to connecting and learning with you.

  • Koinonia Class

Time: Sundays at 9:00 a.m.

We usually have two or three social events each year.

  • Explorers Class

Location: Room 136

Facilitator: Larry Davila

The Explorers class studies the Judson Bible series entitled Journeys. Our teacher leads us through the historical/social background of the Bible, while bringing our understanding of its meaning in the modern world. If you are looking for a class that delves deeply into the history and culture in which the Bible was written and how we in this century can meld them, please join us.

  • Ribbons Class

Time: Sundays at 9:00 a.m.

Location: Room 134

Facilitator: Charlotte Million

Ribbons is an experiential class that engages in breathing, silence, song, meditation, scripture, spiritual writings, artistic expression, sharing and prayer. Generally meets the first 3 Sundays of the month. Charlotte Million facilitates discussion, which always includes a lectionary scripture (often a Psalm) and consideration of a book we study together. (Not everyone reads the book.)

  • Voyagers Class

Time: Sundays at 9:00 a.m.

Location: Room 138

Contacts: Tom Waymire and Rick Chapman

We are an age-independent class that studies a faith based book, a biblical text, or a historic figure of the bible.  In the past we have done books surrounding the spiritual journey of a Chaplain, the impact of someone like Mr. Rogers, and video/book  reviews from Adam Hamilton, the most recent of which was the Apostle Paul’s missionary journeys.  Our favored format is video along with lesson information from a trio of instructors, Tom Waymire, Rick Chapman, and Gordon Kieft.  Class discussion is encouraged as well as understanding different points of view.
