A Goodbye Note from Danni Snyder, Church Accompanist

February 09, 2018

Dear Calvary,

Four years ago this month I came to Calvary for the very first time and fell in spiritual love with this church, choir, and congregation. For many Sundays I have worshipped with you, celebrated with you, and grieved with you. It has certainly been a journey, and I am thankful to have met each of you along the way.

After much thoughtful consideration and prayer, I am resigning my position as Accompanist at Calvary, effective February 18, 2018. This has been a very emotional and difficult decision for me, and it is one that I do not take lightly. I want my Calvary family to know that I love and appreciate all of you and the many, varied gifts you bring to this incredibly unique congregation. This job has taught me so much what it means to be a musician, and a Christian, and a human being in this crazy world. I am incredibly thankful to know all of you.

When I first started working at Calvary, I was a senior at DU, I hadn't been to church in years, and I wasn't even completely sure that I wanted to try and make it as a musician. Things certainly have changed since then! You have watched me grow and change, and you have grown and changed along with me. I am a better person for having been a part of Calvary, and I will continue to pray for all of you during this interim time.

With love,

Dannielle E. Snyder
