Join us on Saturday, September 14 for one, two, or all three sessions with the Baptist Joint Committee's Executive Director Amanda Tyler and their Associate Director of Mobilization Christine Browder. 

First session - 10:00 am - 11:30 am Why

Break - 11:30 am - 1:00 pm Lunch on your own

Second Session - 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm What

Third Session - 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm How

 

Session descriptions:

Why - We will learn why it matters to pay attention to Religious Liberty in our country and why our engagement in fighting for Religious Liberty for all is important. We will ask ourselves why it matters if we do not speak up/out?

What - Amanda and Christine will share several Religious Liberty cases that have made it to the Supreme Court of the United States; what does Separation of Church and State actually mean and look like for our congregations; what is it to be against Christian Nationalism.

How - Advocacy Training on how to engage Religious Liberty at the local and federal levels; how can we be equipped to enter the Public Square as people of faith. 

 

Cost:

$10 a person to help with our Facilitator's Expenses.

*On Monday, September 16, you can join Amanda Tyler and Christine Browder as they take you to visit two of our Federal Representatives. You'll visit their local offices and learn how to contact those who represent our state interests in Washington, D.C.
