The Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado performs concertos for double harpsichord and strings on September 20 at 2pm. Enjoy a European tour via the riveting music of Italy, Germany, France and Spain! Our concerts offer a pay-as-you-wish model making music accessible for everyone.

 

An Introduction to Trauma-Informed Yoga

   Explore how your nervous system shapes your sense of wellbeing and influences your
connection to yourself and others. This experiential workshop combines gentle
movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and guided reflection to explore how yoga can
support greater resilience, regulation, and healing. Drawing from contemporary trauma
research and holistic healing traditions, participants will learn simple practices that
foster a greater sense of safety, awareness, and connection.
   Facilitated by Caitlin Sturgis, MSW, RYT-200, this workshop blends research-informed
education with practical experience. Participants will explore breath practices, gentle
yoga poses, and meditation in a supportive environment that emphasizes choice, self-
awareness, and compassion. Suitable for all experience levels, this workshop offers an
inclusive space to discover how the body can become a resource for healing,
empowerment, and wellbeing.

Exploring Near-Death Experiences

Oct. 4, 11, 18  2-4 p.m.

Curious about near-death experiences?  Join us for this fun and relaxed exploration of what NDE’s are and what we might learn from them.  Whether you are new to NDE’s or a long-time student of them, this will be a chance to connect with others and share ideas and questions in a supportive environment.  Ian Cummins, pastor at Calvary Baptist Church, will facilitate this three-session class.  All perspectives welcome!

Surrendering Faithfully to Wonder

in partnership with Center for Contemplative Living

Oct. 7  9 a.m.-noon

Building on teachings from Karen Armstrong, Richard Rohr, Thomas Keating and others, this workshop will explore the value of re-discovering faith in a world full of competing and conflicting beliefs and how compassion, forgiveness and inclusion can become practices of contemplation and meditation when done through the eyes of faith.

Rick Klein gives talks and workshops on contemplative spirituality. He is a teacher of Centering Prayer and has presented workshops on science and spirituality, compassion and mysticism at the Center for Contemplative Living and other locations throughout Colorado.

Laura Barr invites you into what she calls a "living laboratory" — a hands-on space to rethink what it really takes to raise humans during these complicated times. Drawing on her book The Entitlement Antidote and more than 25 years guiding families through today's pressures and high expectations, Laura will unpack practical shifts parents can make around collaboration, grit, and connection. Come prepared for an interactive, joyful experience — you'll leave with tools you can use that very day! The workshop is designed for parents of children ages 0–18. 

Laura Barr, M.Ed., is the founder of Emerging Educational Consulting. For more than 25 years, she has guided families from early childhood through adolescence, with a particular focus on advocacy for neurodiverse learners. She is the author of The Entitlement Antidote and host of the Growing Good Humans™ podcast. Her latest book, Linger: 21 Micro Stories on Love and Leave-Taking, was just released. A mother of four grown children, Laura brings years of both personal and professional experience to her work with families. She lives in Denver.
