So often when we are "asked to give” to an organization/cause/need we feel guilty, pressured, or flat out obligated to give. We immediately think of how we need the money, not how our money might meet a need. But what if giving could help us feel good about what we have rather than making us feel guilty about what we don’t have? 

In 2 Corinthians 8, Paul tells a compelling story about one community’s generosity in responding to another community’s need. As he tells the story, he weaves in some “guidelines for giving” that offer us a pathway to experience true goodness through our giving. As we explore these guidelines, we’ll celebrate how Calvary creates so much good in our lives and in the world...and how much goodness is in our future! (It’s hard not to feel good about giving to this community that gives so much to us!)
