Calvary Mission & Advocacy Partner: Bright Stars of Bethlehem's July Newsletter

August 5, 2026 Ru-Lee Weller Passman

Dear Anne,

July was a month filled with hope, gratitude, and meaningful milestones. Together, we celebrated the success of our Beyond Bethlehem campaign, shared inspiring stories from students and faculty at Dar al-Kalima University, highlighted the creativity and resilience of children in Gaza, and continued shining a light on the people and programs that are building a brighter future in Palestine.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Whether you gave, shared our stories, attended an event, or simply took the time to learn more, your support makes this work possible. We are grateful to have such a compassionate community walking alongside us every step of the way.

Beyond Bethlehem: Because of You

What an incredible journey this has been. Thanks to your generosity, we not only met our matching gift, but together we exceeded our $150,000 campaign goal, raising over $161,000 for Dar al-Kalima University. Every donation, every share, and every word of encouragement helped make this moment possible, and we couldn't be more grateful.

From all of us at Bright Stars of Bethlehem, thank you for believing in the students, faculty, and communities of Dar al-Kalima University. Your support is creating opportunities, sustaining hope, and reminding our friends in Palestine that they are not alone. We are so thankful to have you as part of this community.

Thanks to the three graduates who joined us during our Beyond Bethlehem live event and sharing their stories of hope. If you didn't have a chance to watch it, the video is below.

And for those who long to visit either for the first time or the 100th time, keep reading below about the Bright Stars of Bethlehem lead trip coming in November!
