Election Season—Opportunities for Prayer & Reflection, Individually and Communally

Election Season—Opportunities for Prayer & Reflection, Individually and Communally As we cast our ballots this November, we acknowledge that election season brings a mix of hope, concern, worry, and unknowns. We are offering three opportunities for you to engage spiritually during this time.

Oct 18. through Nov 3—Since Calvary is a General Elections site, there will be a printed prayer and liturgy guide available outside of the sanctuary for those who wish to pick one up to pray or reflect in silence.

Tues Nov 3, 9 AM - 4PM—Calvary’s sanctuary will be open on Election Day for unstructured personal prayer and reflection. Come and sit in the sacred place to pray and reflect. Throughout the day the sanctuary will have music playing and a place where you can light a candle or sit in prayer. This is an unstructured time; come and go as you are able; sit and “be” for as long or as short as you need.

Wed Nov 4, 6PM—Service of Prayer & Reflection—Sanctuary. Join us for a contemplative service following election day including music, prayer, scripture, and meaningful rituals. Let’s share in community together as we create sacred space for holding anxieties and worries, hopes and dreams, lifting up leaders and voters, and praying for nonviolence, peace, wisdom, and justice.
