Get to Know Your Deacons part 5 March 24, 2026 Ru-Lee Weller Passman Introduction: We are sharing a bit of information so you can get to know your Calvary deacons. Please take a few minutes to learn what work they are doing on your behalf, how to reach them and an interesting or surprising fun fact! Financial Wellness Co-lead Deacons: Stewardship: Natalie Ralston (natalienralston@gmail.com) Natalie uses her knowledge and experience to support and grow Calvary’s giving. She welcomes your involvement and ideas to ensure we all contribute to Calvary’s financial well being. Fun fact: When her daughter was an infant, Natalie and two of her friends realized that there were no emojis that represented motherhood, so they created an app called EmojiMom. The app included emojis from pregnancy though toddlerhood. EmojiMom received national press coverage and hit #2 in the Apple App Store! Treasurer/Secretary: Katherine Pound (katherine.pound@gmail.com) Katherine uses her gifts and knowledge to look after Calvary’s finances. It’s a big job and she works closely with other deacons, staff and congregation members to ensure Calvary’s fiscal well-being. Fun fact: Since we recently had the Winter Olympics, and the awareness of the sport of curling has become more prevalent. It seems appropriate to share that Katherine was a curler in her home city of Winnipeg, Canada. She was part of a curling league which met and played weekly during the winter months. The company she worked for had a massive curling bonspiel (look that one up) every year. Curling is more difficult than it looks but it is a fun way to survive those winter months and there is always lots of socializing after 10 ends of play! Property Co-lead Deacon: Ryan Robinson (rdub247365@gmail.com) Ryan works alongside his co-deacon, Bill Warren, to look after Calvary’s building and grounds. He works closely with staff and other volunteers to identify needs and ways to respond. Ryan will be actively involved in our big 2026 HV Project. Fun fact: Ryan took a pottery class in college and enjoyed it!
