On February 10th, 2026 one of our beloved VIPs, Dena Stanton, turned 100! A few Calvary folks were able to attend her celebration filled with family and friends. Did you know Dena grew up on a potato farm? She picked potatoes on her hands and knees, and she also drove the potato truck that carried barrels of potatoes! She was a member of the USA Cadet Nursing Corps from 1944-1947, and eventually earned her RN specializing in Surgery and ER Nursing. She moved to Denver in 1951 and where she worked at Rose Hospital, and through a friendship with Wanda Bosselman, was invited to Calvary. Dena is such a kind, happy, and resilient woman who loves her family and is filled with gratitude.

Congratulations, Dena on this special milestone Birthday! The world has been blessed by 100 years of wonderful you! ~Rev. Brenda J.R. Goodman, Congregational Chaplain
