Laboring in Love

September 21, 2025 — Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost
Rev. Anne Jernberg Scalfaro (she/her)

This week we continue in our exploration of the Fruit of LOVE by viewing it through an embodied, communal, and relational lens: 1 John 3 invites us to explore: How does love show up as an ‘embodied form’ in our everyday relationships and encounters? John 13 invites us to explore: How does our ability to both give and receive love reveal how we view ourselves in relation to others? How does the Fruit of Love identify (or mark) us in the world? Mark 12 invites us to explore: Why are 1) loving God with our heart, soul, mind, and strength and 2) loving our neighbor as ourselves essential for transformation and for our mission and vision as a church?

Scripture: Mark 12:28-34; John 13:1-17, 34-35; 1 John 3:17-18
