Seeing Ourselves in the Twelve: Matthew/Levi

In Matthew's call story we discover the meaning of discipleship -that it starts with our willingness to change. It starts with our open hearts and minds. Discipleship, no matter which one of these disciples you related to, it is not about a fixed way or formulaic way to follow Jesus, it's about learning again and again what it means to turn back to God, to reorient ourselves back to God, to realize we may have made a mistake, to change our minds, to keep turning to Jesus.
