Staff Relations Welcomes New Nursery Worker! August 26, 2026 Ru-Lee Weller Passman We announced in February of 2025 that we had enough infants, toddlers, and small children to warrant opening a new room for them during worship on Sunday mornings. We are excited to finally have hired a new nursery worker to fill this role, Madison Williams! Madison will be joining our nursery staff on Sunday September 6th. You may already know Madison as the Calvary soprano Choral Assistant. She has reached the term limits on that role, but we are so glad that she wishes to continue her relationship with Calvary in this new position! As you might imagine, her educational background is in music, but she also presented “The Impact of Music Education on Brain Development” at the Annual Meeting of the Mountain-Plains Music Library Association, tying her knowledge of music to early childhood education. She is now completing requirements to begin her nursing degree. She works at Children’s Hospital and in that role has learned a lot of skills that are important to have in our nursery, including health, safety and security measures and CPR/First Aid certification. She also has experience working with children and persons with disabilities in prior positions. Recently, you have seen her volunteering with the children’s group during worship. Madison appreciates the chance to support the physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children, and welcomes the privilege of contributing to a nurturing, safe, and caring space for children at Calvary. Please join us in welcoming Madison to this new role! -Beth Dickinson Staff Relations Deacon
