Healing and Wholeness Services

These are quarterly worship services held on Tuesday evenings in the Music Room that are geared especially toward those persons dealing with grief, loss of any kind, loneliness or depression, life transitions, struggles in life and faith, etc. Healing and Wholeness Services incorporate the arts, song, silence, scripture and rituals of sharing. You are invited to participate in a safe and open time, collectively seeking new hope and light in the midst of darkness. The one-hour services are followed by a reception with Stephen Ministers and pastors available for conversation. Come, connect to fellow pilgrims on the journey.

Stephen Ministry

Mature disciples in Christ may wish to learn more by giving of themselves in caring for others. Calvary has a Stephen Ministry, in which laypersons receive 50 hours of training in order to walk alongside those with specific life crises. Stephen Ministry is not for everyone. However, for those with the gifts and calling required for one-on-one ministry, it may be richly rewarding.

Foot of the Cross Courtyard

Calvary's towering cross marks our location to those looking across this busy city. At its base lies our prayer room, which opens onto the Foot of the Cross Courtyard. The primary mission of the Courtyard is to receive, protect and cherish the remains of Calvary's members and friends. The Courtyard also features the Wall of Remembrance where names are inscribed of those who rest elsewhere.

In the prayer room is a Book of Remembrance. Two pages are provided for each person interred and for everyone inscribed on the Wall. The Foot of the Cross Courtyard is cared for, from gardening to management, by a volunteer committee. Staff members provide additional support.

Visit the Foot of the Cross Courtyard and recall the scripture, "...I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

Communion Offering

Offerings may also be designated for the Calvary Family Emergency Fund which provides financial assistance to those in our church family experiencing critical circumstances.
