At Calvary, mission and outreach is a natural part of who we are—helping people beyond ourselves, and alleviating suffering and injustice to improve the conditions of others in the name of Christ. We are passionate about showing Christ’s light and love through our own action and commitment, and through missions, we live out our faith by serving others both locally and globally.
At Calvary, we extend the reach of our support across our state, our country and overseas. We serve with vision, purpose, and resources to create opportunities for kids, youth, and adults to get involved in a hands-on way. In other words, we don’t just write checks, as critical as financial resources are… we truly get to know the people we are serving and the causes we are supporting. Get involved in mission and outreach at Calvary.

American Baptist Mission Offerings
June - One Great Hour of Sharing
Throughout the month of June, we are receiving the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering (OGHS), which has the theme this year of INVEST IN FUTURES based on 1 Corinthians 3:5-9. The OGHS offering began sixty-four years ago in response to the devastation of World War II. In March of 1949, a national broadcast on a Saturday evening asked Americans to give generously the next morning in their churches. A remarkable assembly of national leaders and celebrities gave their efforts to the broadcast, and more than 75,000 churches responded the next day. Today, OGHS serves people all over the world. Sponsored by eight Christian denominations (including American Baptist Churches USA) and Church World Service, OGHS makes sure that we can respond to needs as soon as they happen. As a result, tens of thousands of people receive support for ongoing relief and rehabilitation. In addition to emergency relief, OGHS also provides funds for developing projects, both at home in the U.S. and around the world.
