Join us for a time of fellowship, prayer, and study as we read and discuss together Freeing Jesus: Rediscovering Jesus as Friend, Teacher, Savior, Lord, Way, and Presence by Diana Butler Bass (Sept 14-Nov. 2). We are discussing The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together by Heather McGhee Nov. 9 through Feb. 15. Please bring your own copy of the book. All are welcome!
Tuesday Bible Study - Zoom option available

Tuesday Bible Study is a small group whose members share fellowship and prayer concerns. We study both the Bible and contemporary writings to better understand the message of Jesus, God’s will for us, and our lives of discipleship.
Through our fellowship and through our works, the Calvary Men’s Group endeavors to be a positive outlet for men of varied backgrounds and skill sets to offer their experience and their shared American Baptist heritage to benefit each other and create value in our community. We focus our efforts in three major areas: fellowship, education, missions.
Time: 3rd Friday, Typically 11 a.m., occasionally at 6 p.m. (times vary)
Place: Calvary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall or offsite
Estimated cost: $10-$15 per month

Scrapbooking - Zoom option available
Do you have a scrapbook or memory book that you never have time to work on? Join us once a month for fun and fellowship while we get our projects done!
Days: Once a month on the third Saturday.
Monday Night Pub
Mondays at 7 p.m.
Join us on Mondays for Calvary Pub where we eat, drink, fellowship and take a different journey each week from books to game shows and beyond. This fall our offsite meeting restaurant will be the New York Deli News (NYDN) 7105 E Hampden Ave. next door to McDonalds, and some meetings are here at Calvary in the Youth Lounge (CYL). Sunday Morning Small Groups (beginning Sept. 19)
Caritas Class - Zoom option available
Time: 9:00 a.m., Sundays
Location: Room 146 and on Zoom
Caritas, in Latin, means “love of many people.” Caritas members love welcoming guests and newcomers. We are a larger class, made up of married couples and singles alike, mostly in our 50s, 60s and 70s.

Koinonia, in Greek, has many meanings: community, communion, joint participation, sharing, and intimacy. Koinonia is a group comprised of couples and singles ranging in age from 35-75 or thereabouts.

The Explorers class studies the Judson Bible series entitled Journeys. Our teacher leads us through the
historical/social background of the Bible, while bringing our understanding of its meaning in the modern world. If you are looking for a class that delves deeply into the history and culture in which the Bible was written and how we in this century can meld them, please join us.
Ribbons is meeting twice a month. Their Sunday meetings they will study Julian of Norwich: Wisdom in a Time of Pandemic—and Beyond, by Matthew Fox.
Time: 3rd Sunday after church for brown bag lunch and 90-minute book discussion in Ribbons classroom, #134.
1st Saturday by Zoom to catch up with each other far and near, 2-3:30 pm, from your home by Zoom

We are an age-independent class that studies a faith based book, a biblical text, or a historic figure of the bible.
Nuer meets in room 306 on Sundays @ 9:00 a.m. Its leaders are James Thurbil & Abraham Tuom.
