A Letter from Ms. Angela

March 19, 2021

THIS (see image above). This is why I adore children. They say the most ridiculous things and sound adorable at the same time. I never know what to expect when working with children. Sometimes they are exhausting. Sometimes they pull on your last nerve, or your hair. Sometimes they give away all your best secrets. Sometimes they all want to sit on the one lap you have. Sometimes they eat the dirty snow. Sometimes they give you the best little hugs. Sometimes you read them the same story over and over. Sometimes they ask you questions you don’t know the answer to. Sometimes they show you the newest dance moves. And sometimes, well, you can’t get enough of them.
And it’s true. I don’t think you could ever get enough of them. I love being able to combine my love for God and love for children together. Despite the current situation, I love being able to see the children every Sunday and hear about how their week went. Whether or not they won their basketball game, went to a birthday party, took their first steps, we as teachers and church members get to know these incredible children and watch them grow. We get to celebrate them for all they achieve and comfort them in times of struggle. Growing up at Calvary gave me a solid foundation of faith and helped me grow into the person I am currently. I wish to be that same person to push these children forward in life as well. I know they are all going to do incredible things, and I am truly blessed to be a part of their journey.

Looking forward to the day when I can hug these tiny humans again,
Angela
