“Ghosts, and Witches, and Spidermen. Oh My!”
What a successful Trunk OR Treat it was this past Saturday, October 23rd. The Fall weather was “Spot On,” with the sun still shining as our wonderful volunteers began to arrive. We had twenty vehicles signed up to pass out candy. Amongst the twenty were these themed vehicles:
- Pirates
- Buster the Stuffed monkey and his crew
- Frozen
- Trick OR Read
- Monsters
- Witches
- Skeletons
- Western
- Daniel Tiger
- Candy Land
- Football themed
- Pumpkins
- Zoo animals
Our volunteers went all out decorating their vehicles and helping with games, popcorn, and apple cider. The kids were able to walk to every Trunk and receive a sweet treat plus have several opportunities to play nine different games and win all sorts of fun prizes. Pastor Anne (or Cookie Monster) facilitated the Cupcake Walk which is always a crowd favorite. I mean, what could be better than a mouth full of sugar?
We had around 260 people stop by to enjoy our event and allowed them to vote on their favorite vehicle. The winner was Joanna and Katherine, and their children Maliah & Thaddeus, with their football-themed trunk all decked out with décor and games to play!
Thank you to everyone who donated candy to our Candy Monster this year and to all the wonderful volunteers who decorated their trunks. I hope you had an enjoyable time and can’t wait to have you all back next year!
