As promised, we wanted to provide people with information on our Summer Season Connect 2 program.
For new folks, our Connect 2 program randomly paired 2 Calvary folks together with the intention of connecting in ways that work for them (getting coffee, phone call, texts, lunch etc). Folks signed up to be a part of the program.
40 Calvary folks participated in our inaugural effort. 24 participants provided feedback on our recent survey.
Here’s what we learned:

All respondents thought the program should continue, with a number offering ideas/suggestions for improvement.

All but one person said they planned to stay in touch with their Connect 2 partner, even after the “formal” season had ended.

75% of respondents indicated they would participate in another Connect 2 season. Those who said they wouldn’t felt their foreseeable busy lives would prevent them from connecting again.
Suggestions for improvement:

Consider gathering a bit more information so pairings can be more specific around location, interest and availability.

Provide more ideas and suggestions for specific pairing activities.
Next steps:

It’s very likely we’ll offer a new-and-improved Connect 2 in the spring.

Since connection and relationships continue to be very important in our Calvary community, we may explore other ways or approaches that could support that happening.
